Red Monkey divers is a vibrant family run PADI dive centre for sale in miri, Sarawak. We are in our 6th year of business and must sell by end of 2014 season due to health problems of Instructor. Sufficient equipment, materials, boat & crew, office and pool access to start immediately. Can be sold as a turnkey business with sleeping partner or make your own arrangements for business licence. Expansion Opportunities:
There is ample scope for expansion.
Miri is a "new" dive destination with excellent corals and good wrecks.
There is room for growth in industry as a whole due to comprehensive promotion at dive shows and only 2 dive centres in city of 100,000 persons.
Only another 2 dive centres in the whole state and they are 800 km away.
Miri is an oil town so plenty of wanna-be commercial divers who must obtain open water cert before applying to a commercial training centre.
We are already experiencing an increase in trade since start of season compared with last year due to marketing.
Offered Support for the new owner:
1. Malaysian business with a foreigner must have a Malaysian as prime share (51%). the current Malaysian MD willing to remain on business licence for an agreed period as non executive until new owners arrangements made.
2. Current Instructor & DM willing to remain in post for agreed period until local knowledge of dive sites obtained &/or other staff able to fill post. Remuneration to be agreed.
3. Current boat crew willing to remain in job. Remuneration to be agreed.
4. Current dive store will remain available for an agreed time until alternative arrangements made.
5. Transfer of current shop/store with attached pool access will be arranged.
