JULY 2021 UPDATE: Well, since first listing the business COVID-19 has of course had a huge impact on the diving industry. Fortunately here in Mexico, following a 3 month total lock-down we have been able to operate profitably once again since late June 2020. Playa del Carmen has actually been relatively fortunate, since the whole town has been open and welcoming international tourist in a safe and controlled environment since June 2020. The town has picked up many first-time visitors who initially had other vacation plans which were cancelled due to COVID and Playa del Carmen became a go-to destination by being accessible to many. The dive market in the area has experienced some contraction since COVID with same dive centers, both large and small having to close or downsize.
