Our much loved dive shop, Native Sons, is for sale. We are located on Half Moon Bay beach, in West End village, Roatan, Honduras. We are the longest running dive shop in West End and West Bay, under the same ownership. Native Sons was set up 30 years ago by island dive legend Alvin Jackson and he has been running it ever since. We have a great reputation and a very high level of repeat divers that return every year to enjoy diving with us. The sale will include the 2 boats, the 32 ft Bidigum and the beautiful 48ft Uba Isti, which together can accommodate a total of 35 divers. Also included is a very new Coltri compressor, over 100 scuba tanks and all our rental dive equipment. There is an office, a classroom and an equipment room and a large garden area for set up and outside teaching. We are in the front garden of the very popular Hotel Chillies and many of our divers are also guests. We have an onsite café, Yahongreh?, which is a great place for a yummy meal before or after diving. This is a turnkey dive shop which we will be running right up until the sale. We have plenty of reservations way into next year so you can hit the ground running! The land is not included but we will be negotiating a 5 year lease on the dive shop area. We have loved running a dive shop for all these years but we are now ready to slow down and have a little bit more time for ourselves. We will still be living on the property and running the hotel and café.

There is huge room for growth. We are pretty much at full capacity the second half of February, March and most of April. We can also be super busy around Christmas and New Year. The remainder of the year we could handle a lot more divers. Alvin and I are a bit like a couple of dinosaurs in the Roatan dive business. I see new shops pop up, some new owners with a marketing background, they do lots of social media, lots of online advertising and suddenly they are busier than us. We have not put 100% into the dive shop for a while and there is a lot of potential for much more business. All the capacity is there, the 2 boats, a good compressor, enough equipment, etc.
