The “Sayang” was build in a traditional workmanship in Bira/Sulawesi and took 2 years to complete. It combines the original sailingship ambiente with style and tradition. For the hull and topsides classic ironwood was used from Kalimantan. The finish of the interior was done in Bali, using only teak wood to give her a nice warm look and a tropical aspect. Various Safaris on different ships in recent years have shown me how to make things substantially better on a liveaboard. Thus for example, the usual noise and vibration from the motor and generator are reduced to a minimum by the use of local insulation materials in combination with a local boatbuilding technique. Also, through ventilation technology, the typical moisture smell as often encountered on wooden ships, is largely avoided. Spacious and bright bathrooms with sea views will provide you with some extra pleasure. Instead of the usual steep ladders, you are walking on the SAYANG on wide, safe and comfortable stairs. These are just a few of the essentials that will make your stay on SAYANG a nicer and more pleasant experience. You can expect thoughtful and practical comfort. With only 12 guests sharing this 33m long and 8m wide liveaboard, this guarantees you a lot of space. Up to date safety and navigation technology combined with an easy elegance which makes the SAYANG unique in its class. Since December 2011 SAYANG is floating on her own keel, it took more than 8 months to complete, finishing her in August 2012. Since then, we have been busy with friends and their friends friends, to set the \"fine-tuning\" of the processes and procedures. From 2013, we will officially set-sail on the Bali Sea with the SAYANG. The SAYANG is the first and only liveaboard, which sails to the dive sites around Bali ! This long overdue idea was to create an ideal, comfortable and affordable approach to the various dive sites around Bali.. This was so far only possible with time consuming day trips, uncomfortable and rough speedboat rides and only 2 dives due to the lack of time and also the annoying change of hotels during an overland safari. From now on things will be different. We will sail along the beautiful coast of Bali to reach the dive sites. Our SAYANG expedition to the islands around Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan, Tepekong, Mimpang, Gili Selang and Gili Biaha will be a unique experience. Free of any stress we can watch the awakening of the reef in the early hours without being disturbed by other groups of divers. We want to avoid sharing the dive site with 25 other boats. Until all the other day trippers have arrived at the dive site in the first half of the day, we already have made 2 dives, so in the second half, we can dive at some more sensational places. Completely relaxed we then can enjoy the beautiful sunset from the deck. The SAYANG consits of a lower, main and upper deck. At the lower deck, you will find 4 spacious Deluxe cabins. Each cabin has its own individual adjustable AC, a double bed and a single bed with high quality matrasses. A spacious wardrobe, plenty of storage compartments and a table are available. Two large-opening 12 \"portholes provide fresh sea breeze and magnificent views. The private bathroom with toilet and shower (hot and cold water), also equipped with a large round window, provides at 4 sqm enough space and comfort to conveniently go after your business. The two exclusive master cabins on the upper deck, with one double and one single bed, offer large partially opening windows with an exclusive view at the fantastic surroundings. The suite, with its 34 square meters and 270 degree Ocean View, 6 square meters bathroom, king-size bed, a private, comfortable seating area, own balcony with another 9 square meters, offers comfort and class at its best. During the outfit and furnishing of the cabins, we took special care for the needs of photographers and moviemakers. There are enough 220V outlets for recharging batteries, and each cabin has its own power surge protector. On-board voltage is AC 220 Volt/50 Hz an 24Volt. Forward on the main deck you find a comfortable seating and lounge area. The central area consists of the saloon, lounge and the galley. The lounge is equipped with a flat screen TV, music and sound system and a PC with the latest software for editing photos and videos. On board there is also a selection of DVD\'s. Marine life identification books are available as well. The entire rear area is the diving platform, where each diver has its own place. You can dine in pleasant surroundings in the saloon. Breakfast consists of fresh fruits and fruit juices, eggs of your choice and fresh bread with jam. At lunch and dinner you can help yourself to the buffet. Special dietary requirements, such as for our vegetarian friends, will be gladly considered. Soft drinks like Coke, Fanta, Sprite, and water from the dispenser, coffee and tea are included in the price, except alcoholic drinks will be charged. You dont need to worry about anything aboard SAYANG! Here you find it really easy and comfortable! Before you dive, at the back of the deck your gear up, taking your fins and your camera. With one step you are in the Zodiac. The dive platform at the stern, which also leads to the tender, is broad and stable, which allows for easy entry and exit. The Zodiac also has a ladder that makes boarding from the water back into the tender more convinient. Depending on the dive site, we either jump directly from the diving platform into the water or we drive the short distance with the tender. Usually there are 3 dives a day (except arrival and departure day) optional night dives depend on the itinerary and journey times. We will dive with 12 liter aluminum tanks with DIN or INT connections. If requested, Nitrox 32 is available at an extra charge. After the dive, arriving at Sayang, you just step out of the tender back on to the dive platform. There is ample of space at the rear part. You will find also 3 freshwater showers and 2 sinks with freshwater for cameras. There are enough shelves for your photographic equipment as well. Our team takes care of the tanks and equipment. The SAYANG with its three sun decks, which are partly covered by awnings, offers lots of space to relax between dives. The perfect place to enjoy a drink in the evening under a starry sky.
